Svenska Gårdar

Svenska Gårdar has been providing quality meat since 1947. In 2017 we gave them a facelift with a brand new identity and packaging line to communicate their high quality straight across their brand platform.

The packaging design is inspired by old ”torp” or farm houses on the countryside. With patterns and a color palette inspired by old kitchen cloths and accessories. The packaging is an homage to their heritage from 1947.

The Swedish heritage was important to the branding there for we chose to make the Swedish colors togheter with the patterns the stars of the brand.

The logo was inspired by old farm signs and the typography is chosen to give the feeling of old country shops to lift the craft behind the brand.

An important part of the design program for Svenska Gårdar was to develop a bank of different illustrations for the brand. The illustrations are used to explain the content of the products and to enhance what flavors the sausages have.

2018 came the latest of the products from Svenska Gårdar. The new product was a classic Swedish "falukorv". When we came up with the pattern for this product we got inspiration from the old traditonella pattern called "krubits", which originates from northern part of Sweden, where also the "falukorv" comes from.
